The review of the National Curriculum - Introduction
For all other subjects that are currently part of the National Curriculum - art and design, citizenship, design and technology, geography, history, information and communication technology (ICT), modern foreign languages and music - the review will consider whether or not they should remain National Curriculum subjects and if so at which key stages. For any subject which it is decided should not be part of the National Curriculum in future, the review will also consider whether that subject, or any aspect of it should nevertheless be compulsory (but without a statutory Programme of Study) at certain key stages, and/or whether the Government should produce non-statutory guidance on the curriculum for the subject.
